The beginning of Inferno Series 2022 is just around the corner, here you'll find all the news, info on the qualifications of all the upcoming INFERNOs. In short, everything you need to know to face the year in the best possible way.

Strength and endurance to carry weights, speed to climb ropes, dexterity to climb over walls, balance to cross swinging boards and coordination to swing suspended between ropes, pegs and rings. This is the explosive mix of skills, to be put into play along the Inferno tracks to be run in the various race distances and INFERNO categories.

From this year only, you will receive your medal for each Inferno stage. That's right, at the end of each Inferno everyone will receive the Inferno medal!

By participating in all three races you will be able to compose your Inferno Series 2022 medal.

INFERNO SNOW: Alpe Cimbra on 12 and 13 March 

Alpe Cimbra will once again host the winter edition on the snow, Inferno Snow, in the picturesque setting of the Malga Millegrobbe cross-country ski resort. 

The weekend, open to pro and open athletes, will start on Saturday 12 March with the individual race on 8 km (200 m total height difference) scattered with 25 obstacles. 

This race is valid for the Inferno Series 2022 ranking and for the Coppa Italia 2022.

On Sunday 13th March there will be the Inferno Snow Short 3 km race, qualifying race for the OCR European Championships 2022 on the same distance Short 3 km - to be held in June in Val di Fiemme.

The 8 km Inferno Snow a Team race will follow: the teams are made up of three members, who will face the same course in a collaborative version. May the best team win! This race is valid for the Inferno Series 2022 ranking. 


INFERNO PARK: Mincio Park, 14 and 15 May

The second challenge arrives in a new destination on the Mincio river, a stone's throw from Lake Garda. At Valeggio sul Mincio, with departure and arrival from hu Altomincio village, the two days of hell will see the individual race on 8 km and 25 obstacles and the team race on the same track.

The Inferno PARK 8 km PRO event will be a stage of the Italian Championship recognised by the Italian OCR Federation, and also an opportunity to qualify for the European Championships 2023, as well as valid for the Italian Cup 2022 and the Inferno Series 2022 ranking.

On Sunday the Inferno PARK Team race will start on the distance of 8 km: the Teams are composed by three members, who will face the same route in a collaborative version. May the best team win! This race is valid for the Inferno Series 2022 ranking. 


INFERNO MUD: in Chianti on 8 and 9 October

Like every year, the muddy Mud will be held in early October at the hu Norcenni Girasole village in Figline Valdarno, in the province of Florence. 

In the heart of Chianti to the individual race on 12 km with 30 obstacles, final of the Italian Championship OCR, will be added also the collaborative team race and Inferno Kids dedicated to the little devils, whose proceeds will be donated to charity. 

Inferno Mud 12 km PRO is a qualifying race for the European Championships 2023, valid for the Inferno Series 2022 and for the Coppa Italia 2022.

On Sunday the Inferno MUD a Team race will start: the teams are composed of three members, who will face the course in a collaborative version. This race is valid for the Inferno Series 2022 ranking. 

The top 10 overall and the top 15 in each age category qualify for the OCR European Championships.

The first 5 overall and the first 5 in each category qualify for the Italian Cup.

INFERNO SERIES 2022

Please note, in order to be eligible for the INFERNO SERIES awards you must participate in all 2022 stages of the same long or short or team format.

For the purposes of the INFERNO SERIES ranking for each race, the finishing time is taken into account regardless of the category of participation, thus creating a single ranking for all competitive participants.

The prize-giving ceremony will take place on the same day as the Inferno Mud 2022 prize-giving ceremony.
